Ella's Kitchen Bananas Munchy Biccies review

The Madhouse Mini-testers were very pleased to receive some new snacks to try out from Ella's Kitchen recently. There is a whole new range of fruity nibbles available -three flavours of Nibbly Fingers (strawberries + apples, bananas + raisins and mangoes + carrots) and Munchy Biccies, that are also available in three varieties (cheese + apples, cinnamon + oranges and - the ones that we received to review - bananas).

2-year-old Pierre but also 7-year-old Juliette happily stepped into the chief reviewers' hotseat and got nibbling. I think the photo says it all really ! They loved them and finished off one of the little 20g bags each in record time ! Each bag only contains 72 calories and 2.8g of fat, of which 0.9g saturated. I had a little taste too and they're not overly sweet, midway between sweet and savoury, with a lovely crumbly texture.

As usual with Ella's Kitchen products, the ingredients list is faultless. It's 100% organic with absolutely no concentrates or refined sugars. I also love the fact that there are no sticky or chocolatey fingers to deal with and they won't melt in the sun, if you put them in your bag for trips to the park or picnics in the warmer weather.

star rating : 4.5/5

RRP : £1.79 for 5 x 20g

  1. Don't forget teachers are so constrained by Health & Safety guidelines in PE lessons with 30+ children it can be quite difficult to include any sort of vigorous exercise :-(
