My WeightWatchers Supper Club Facebook App Dish #1 - Dips & Dunks

A few weeks ago, I told you (here) about the newly launched Weight Watchers Supper Club facebook app and, as I've been on holiday for the past fortnight, I've been having a play and trying out some of the recipes.
You can't get any simpler than this for a starter and, when I asked the Madhouse Mini-Testers what they fancied from the big choice of recipes on the app, I was surprised (but secretly pleased) that this is what they picked ! I think kids are attracted by the fact that you get a rainbow of colours on the plate and that they get to eat with their fingers without being told off !

Here's the Weight Watcher recipe and the photo of their version that you can find here on the app.

Dips and Dunks

One basic dip, three tasty variations!

ProPoints® Values: 3
Servings: 6
Preparation Time: 20 min
Cooking Time: 0 min

Ingredients

300 g Cheese, Soft, low Fat
300 g Yogurt, Virtually Fat Free, Plain
4 medium Spring Onions, very finely chopped

Curried red pepper and coriander dip:
1/4 portion(s) (medium) Cucumber, finely chopped
1/2 medium Pepper, Red, deseeded and finely chopped
1 teaspoons Curry Powder
2 tablespoons Coriander, Fresh,

Garlic and chive dip:
1 clove(s) Garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons Chives, Fresh,

Spicy tomato dip:
2 tablespoons (level) Tomato Pure
1 medium Tomato, finely chopped
1 stick(s) Celery, raw, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoons (level) Chilli Powder
1 portion(s) Gherkins, 3 finely chopped slices

To serve:
Fresh vegetable crudités

 And - ta da ! - here's our version.

We made dippers with carrot, red pepper, gherkin and cucumber.

The kids happily tucked in !

For the dips, I substituted a mix of yogurt and barbecue sauce for the Coriander and Curried Red Pepper Dip, because it was more suited to the kids' tastes. The Spicy Tomato and Garlic & Chive ones went down well though.

Verdict - "Can we have it again tomorrow, Mum?" !

Disclosure : I have been given a year's membership to Weight Watchers Online and receive monthly hampers of products to review.
