Pierre is absolutely gorgeous, as you can see from the photo below. But he's also a totally lazy lump and at 10 and a half months, has no desire to stand up, let alone crawl or attempt to walk. Shoes are therefore not an essential item at the moment - apart from as a toy, because it's apparently really funny pulling them off every five seconds and throwing them on the floor so that mum has to pick them up ! But some of them are so cute, they're irresistible - like these Baby Dino Sammy ones from Wynsors World of Shoes.
I love the funky khaki and white camouflage-style design, which screams "I'm a little boy" and makes a welcome change from all things pink and sparkly after two girls ! The stitching seems very solid and the soles have little non-slip dots to help prevent your little one falling over as they try to pull themselves upright in their playpen (are you listening, Pierre ?!). The only "problem" is that the velcro is very easy to unfasten so they are constantly whizzing across the room as Pierre pulls them off and throws them, but that's the same with all shoes that don't have laces (double knots are harder to undo than velcro !).
You will need to go on to something that offers more support once baby starts walking but as a first pair of shoes, these are great. They're also a total bargain at £4, which is great value for money because they don't look cheap at all.
