Boots Baby Organic Baby Food (& Current Boots Offers on Baby Products)

Now aged 15 months, Pierre likes to join in with family mealtimes and try out the same food as us. If we're eating spaghetti, this usually means he'll empty the bowl on his high chair tray then have fun putting it all back in the bowl strand by strand, but it gives him the idea ! However, some days - like today when we were eating spicy, not to mention messy, fajitas - he's better off with a jar of baby food !

So, what was on the menu this lunchtime for Pierre? I decided to try out a couple of jars of Boots Baby Organic baby food that we had received to review. Main course was Vegetable and Chicken Risotto, followed by Apple Crumble for dessert (and I had a sneaky taste and it really does taste like apple crumble - I was gutted when Pierre ate the whole lot !).

So, on to the all important taste test. What did Pierre think of it ? Well, here you can see him literally giving a thumbs up to the Vegetable and Chicken Risotto !

And as you can see, the Apple Crumble went down very well too.

I love the fact that an own-brand label has picked up the Baby Organic tag that until now has often been reserved for the premium brands. The product labels for both products state that the jars contain no artificial colours or flavours, no added preservatives, no added egg or soya. The risotto also says no added salt or milk products and it's gluten free. The apple crumble does clearly state that it contains gluten, wheat and milk products but it is vegetarian. Check each individual label if you have any allergy concerns.

Each 190g pot retails for 69p but Boots are always putting on great promotions and you can currently buy 7 for £4.50 on selected stage 2 baby food.

I always like to give you a heads-up on special offers that will help save a few pounds on those baby essentials so here are some other current promotions :
