Nature Valley Have Been Spoiling Me Again ! & fab create a garden competition

I told you last month (here) about a fabulous bag of goodies that Nature Valley kindly sent to me and some other bloggers to learn more about the brand and their products. Well, they've only gone and done it again ! I sat down with the girls and excitedly pulled out the contents - another brilliant jute bag filled with a whole variety of their granola bars, some money-off vouchers, a memory stick, a pair of gardening gloves and a red toilet roll tube. Eh ? A red toilet roll tube ?! What's that all about then ?! Sophie noticed that there was a piece of paper tucked inside it with a mysterious message, "You can plant me and I will grow !" Ooh exciting - on closer inspection, it's studded with seeds. How cool is that ?!

I sat down to look at the information on the memory stick and decided to try out one of the new Crunchy & More bars at the same time. Now, I already thought the crispy oats made for a lovely crunchy, crumbly texture but these new bars have added ingredients to give them extra oomph. Hazelnut pieces in the "Oats & Hazelnuts" variety or chewy pieces of cranberry in the "Oats & Berries" ones. They're gorgeous and still under 200 calories for a pack of two bars, which is quite reasonable as the wholegrain oats leave you feeling fuller for longer than if you snack on crisps or chocolate.

On the memory stick, I learnt all about Nature Valley's new Garden-to-go campaign - aha, that explains the gardening gloves and the plantable paper tube then ! They have launched a fun competition on Facebook (here) where you can create your own mini Garden-to-go and publish it to the gallery to share with your friends in the hope of getting it made into a real garden as well as winning some fab prizes along the way.

I've just been to make one - which you can see here (feel free to vote for mine !) - and had great fun unlocking the special bonus objects by hitting on the right combinations of features and trying to cram in as much as possible ! If you go and make one too, leave me a link in the comments box so that we can see your creations too. The closing date for entries is 3rd June, after which the fifty best gardens will be chosen by a panel of judges to be made into real mini gardens. One lucky winner will receive tickets to the Secret Garden Party festival and three runners-up will receive a year's supply of Crunchy & More bars.

And as if that's not enough, Nature Valley are also hosting a Garden-to-go Day where they will drop the fifty real-life mini gardens made up in cute pots in secret locations all over London for people to find and collect. The locations will be kept secret until revealed to the press then it'll be a race to find them. Sounds like great fun !

New granola bars, a fun Facebook competition and a garden-themed treasure hunt across London - how many brilliant ideas can a company come up with in one go ?!
