The Sing Up Song Diary is a fantastic resource for parents to keep children singing and learning throughout the school holidays.

This creative diary provides children with the opportunity to record and thoughtfully respond to all the different songs that they come across during their holiday travels. It is designed to promote children’s engagement with foreign cultures and languages, whilst keeping them entertained.

The Sing Up Song Diary includes fun puzzles that promote informal learning, handy hints and singing facts, as well as suggestions for further activities that the whole family can get involved with.

The Diary is available for free download in a ready-to-print format from the Sing Up website at: http://www.singup.org/magazine/magazine-article/view/373-my-sing-up-song-diary/ . Follow the simple instructions, and you’re on your way to a song-filled holiday.

As a recent study (2010) published by the Institute of Education has shown, regular singing is proven to enhance mood, happiness and emotional wellbeing, while reducing stress.

If you’re planning to go away during the school holidays, don’t leave home without the Sing Up Song Diary!
