*** Win your very own copy right here on this blog ! ***

Tom and Jerry and the Wizard of Oz is an all new animated retelling of the classic tale, available on DVD from 19th September 2011. Brought to you by Warner Home Video, this DVD features all your favourite characters including Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, the Wizard and many more. Packed full of your favourite classic songs, this DVD will take you on a wonderful journey with Tom and Jerry as they soar over the rainbow and travel down the yellow brick road !

I've just sat down and watched a preview DVD of the new movie with the girls and I have to say I was very impressed. The girls weren't overly familiar with the story of The Wizard of Oz so I was pleased to see that it follows the original storyline very closely and introduces all the well-known characters.

But it also intertwines the classic story with traditional Tom & Jerry sequences, so you get the laughs from them fighting, getting squashed flat and running around after each other.

Both 10-year-old Sophie and 6-year-old Juliette watched it from start to finish without getting bored and wandering off, and even as an adult, I enjoyed watching it. The run time of about 45 minutes is the ideal length and it's a great price too, being marketed at under a fiver. Adults can get all nostalgic listening to the classic Oz songs including Somewhere Over The Rainbow and If I Only Had a Heart too.

There will also be a giveaway coming up right here on the blog next week where you can win a copyof the DVD too.
