Kids' ipad app review : Guess With Jess

The first ever Guess With Jess app has just been released and we were lucky enough to get a code to try it out. I knew this would be a popular app, firstly because Pierre and Juliette both love watching Jess on TV and secondly, because it comes from P2 Games, who always produce apps with really rich and varied content.

As I expected, the app has a large choice of mini games and activities - seven to be precise. Your little learners can try their hand at :

- PAINTING
- DOT-TO-DOT
- MUSIC
- SPOT THE DIFFERENCE
- JIGSAW
- HIDE N SEEK
- GUESS IT

As if that wasn't already great value, there's also a bonus activity included where you can help Jess answer 3 Big Questions : ‘Why do spiders build webs?’, ‘What do ladybirds eat?’ and ‘How do seeds grow?’.

2-year-old Pierre, in particular, has been having great fun playing with the app and I've been especially impressed that he has managed to do all of the games and activities without any help from me at all. That's always great news when you're a busy mum trying to juggle a million things at once. Jess gives you prompts where necessary but most of the time, it's just totally simple to pick up and play with. The target audience is 3-6 year olds but both 6-year-old Juliette and 10-year-old Sophie have been whiling away a few idle moments playing on it too.

It's a lovely app for kids, allowing them to meet all the characters from the show and giving them sufficient variety in the activities to keep them coming back to the app time and time again.
