Firefly Love Potion review

How gorgeous is this bottle of special Valentines Day-themed Firefly ?! I absolutely loved their Union Jack-festooned bottle for the Britannia drink (so much so that it was washed out and put on a shelf in my daughter's room !) but this one comes a close second. Sophie squelaed when she opened the box from the postman and asked if she have the bottle when it was empty !

But enough about the bottle itself and on to the contents. I knew that the drink itself was gorgeous because I was lucky enough to review it this time last year (here). I'm yet to try a variety of Firefly that I don't like but this one sounds particularly well thought-out. Firefly explain : “Love Potion is a juicy blend of Passionfruits and Blueberries spiced up with nature's naughtiest botanicals like angelica and chocolate - Mother Nature’s aphrodisiacs! Fruity, delicious and Firefly’s boldest bottle design yet!” Perfect for Valentine's Day then !

It's a fruity, natural flavour that is sweet but not overly so and you can really tell that it's full of natural ingredients rather than artifical flavours. In fact, all of Firefly's drinks contain no added sugar and absolutely nothing artificial.

If you want to get your hands on one of these funky bottles, get your skates on as it's a limited edition so it won't be around for long. It's available for a limited time only, from January 2012, in Harvey Nichols, Wholefoods, Harrods and quality independent outlets.

Star rating : 4.5/5

RRP : £1.69 for 330ml

    1. Thanks very much for your extremely helpful and objective comment. So ... let's get this right ... you tried one, didn't like it and went out and bought the rest of the entire range to make sure they ALL tasted like shit, as you so eloquently put it ?! Hmmm.
