Kid's DVD review : Fireman Sam - Mountain Rescue

*** Don't miss my giveaway to win a copy right here on my blog ! ***

Get ready for more action, excitement and rescues than ever before in Fireman Sam’s all-new DVD Mountain Rescue, on sale from the end of next week (26th March 2012).

Featuring episodes from the brand new eighth series, join Sam as he pulls off a daring rescue to stop a runaway train, Elvis and Mike have a cliff hanging accident involving a giant guitar and Sam and Penny race to the rescue when Norman accidentally drives Jupiter through Pontypandy!

There are high jinks and silliness, as well as a sprinkling of naughtiness, to have everyone - even the grown-ups - smiling as they watch the whole hour long DVD in one sitting. I love the new characters introduced on the DVD too. After blogging about Bear Grylls this week on my blog (click through to see his top 10 things to do before you're 10), I was particularly tickled by survival expert Moose Roberts, but we also meet Sarah and James's grandad Gareth Griffiths, who drives The Pontypany Flyer mountain train, and newcomers Mrs Chen, a teacher, and her daughter Lily.

It's not just new people though. In addition to the trusty Jupiter, Venus and Neptune, a new rescue vehicle has also joined the heroic team. Mercury, Sam’s new quad bike, is a strong, reliable and fast machine able to help Sam reach the most inaccessible places in times of emergency.

To top it all off, in the Bonuses, you get a new Fireman Sam rescue song to sing along to, which had Pierre boogying away in front of the screen !

All-new episodes of Fireman Sam air daily on Cartoonito. For more information about Fireman Sam, you can visit www.firemansam.co.uk or follow all the latest news on Facebook and Twitter @firemansamuk
