Shake Up Your Wake Up recipe : Mixed Spice Muesli

You may remember we took part in the Shake Up Your Wake Up Breakfast Week challenge earlier in the year for Farmhouse Breakfast Week. Well, one of the blogposts I never got around to writing was for their Mixed Spice Muesli so I thought I'd share the recipe with you now.

We received a ready-to-mix kit in the Breakfast Week hamper which made it extremely simple to prepare but the recipe is above.

The instructions were so simple, Sophie made it all by herself !

How to make it

  1. To make the muesli
  2. mix all the ingredients in a bowl until well combined
  3. Store in an airtight container
  4. To serve, pour 1/3 of the muesli into a bowl, add milk according to preference and sprinkle over the topping of your choice
  5. The quantities given make enough muesli for 3 servings for 1 person

They also have three different topping ideas :

Topping 1:

  • 2 tbsp dried cranberries or blueberries
  • 1 tbsp pistachio nuts, roughly chopped

Topping 2:

  • 25g blackberries
  • 25g raspberries

Topping 3:

  • 25g pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
We had it for breakfast today and it was lovely !

  2. I tend to just have porridge for breakfast made with water and a dash of milk stirred in when cooked. Sometimes make it with cinnamon for something a bit different. Must try some others!!!
