Asda’s Little Angels Dry and Sensitive Body Wash and Shampoo review

Asda have introduced two new products to their Little Angels range of children's hygiene products - a Dry and Sensitive Body Wash and a Dry and Sensitive Shampoo - and they sent us through some samples to try. With 3-year-old Pierre being the youngest member of the Madhouse Family and none of the Mini-Testers having any skin problems, we usually tend to go for brightly coloured and nicely fragranced bath products, but I reviewed these imagining that I was still bathing a baby, which is the target audience.

Both products are gentle, pure products, which is reflected in the rather bland packaging. They contain no parabens, fragrance or colours (which the Madhouse Mini-testers thought was a shame, but I explained that babies and some older children need fragrance-free products because they have allergies or skin that is sensitive to perfume, colours and other artificial additives).

The Body Wash made some nice bubbles when I ran it under the tap in the bath and also worked quite adequately when lathered up on a sponge. It doesn't create masses of foam, but when you're bathing a baby, you don't want too many bubbles anyway. Again, the shampoo would work perfectly on a baby's fine hair and it was well-suited to Pierre's short hair and Juliette's fine hair, but I needed a nourishing conditioner to use with it on Sophie's thick mane.

If you're looking for a mild, baby-friendly range of products that are designed specifically with dry, delicate skin in mind, you could do a lot worse, especially at those prices !

star rating : 4/5

RRP : £1.35 for 300ml for both products

Disclosure : I received a bottle of body wash and a bottle of shampoo in order to write an honest review.

  1. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to baby products and normally buy Johnsons, but I think I shall give it a try!!

  2. Sounds great as I normally buy Johnsons too when they're on offer! I find Asda little angels range really good - especially the nappies! :)
