Swizzels Matlow Halloween sweets review

Whether or not you're planning on taking your own kids out Trick or Treating next week, don't forget you're likely to get people knocking at your door asking for sweets so you might want to remember to add some tubs of sweets to your shopping this week ! If you have elderly relatives or neighbours, you might like to give them a tub too so that they won't be worried about getting people calling and having nothing to give them.

Swizzels Matlow sent us through a fabulous selection of sweets that are absolutely perfect for Halloween. The Spooky Trick or Treat Mix is perfect for offering to kids who call at the door, because it contains over 80 fun-sized sweets including the ones I remember and love from my youth - Love Hearts, New Refreshers, Drumstick Lollies, Rainbow Drops, Double Lollies and Fruity Pops. I'm really hoping we don't get many trick or treaters this year because I would love to eat these myself and have a little wander down memory lane ! The party size means they won't sabotage my healthy eating plan either.

Scooby-Doo fans will love the Gruesome Gums - or Scooby Snacks, as they've been dubbed in our house !  The Madhouse Mini-testers loved the spooky shapes and the fruity flavours, while I loved the fact that they contain no articial colours.

And last but not least, the Spooky Dip - a ghoulified version of the popular Double Dip that I used to love as a kid. You get three zingy sherbert flavours - Orange, Mixed Fruit and Strawberry - as well as a blackcurrant flavour dipping stick that made the kids squeal when they realised it made their tongue change colour !

It wouldn't be Halloween without sweets but I have to say, I love the way Swizzels Matlow have gone the extra mile to make their sweets extra creepy for the big day.
