Forward planning for the summer : Morocco here we come !

When you need to book a family room for five, you need to get in quick because most hotels only have a couple so they're snapped up very quickly. We therefore book our summer holiday as soon as the "first minutes" offers come in just before Christmas so we already know that this summer, we'll be heading off to Agadir in Morocco ! We'll be staying the Founty Beach Iberostar hotel (see below) so it freaked me out to see this exact hotel pop up in the ad box in the top corner of my blog's sidebar - how big a coincidence is that?!!

ASDA obviously got wind of our upcoming travel plans (or it was just another lucky coincidence !) and sent us through a family pack of sun cream that will be absolutely ideal to take with us. It contains four bottles :

Factor 50 (High) Kids' Lotion, suitable for sensitive skin

Factor 30 (High) Sun Lotion

Factor 15 (Medium) Sun Lotion

Aftersun Spray (cools and soothes, moisturises for up to 24 hours, helps prevent peeling)

All of the sun creams are dermatologically tested, water resistant and moisturise for up to 12 hours. They also all have an "independently tested - level 5 - maximum UVA protection" logo on them.

They come in a zip-up plastic bag which is ideal for preventing suncream leaks in your luggage and can be recycled as a washbag or for transporting wet swimwear home. I have a sneaky feeling ours will end up being filled with shells and other "treasures" collected by the kids during the holiday !

It may only be the start of January but it's probably a good time to buy sun cream actually, so that you won't be caught out without any sun protection when the sun (hopefully) starts putting in an appearance in the springtime. I can't tell you how effective it is yet though, I'm afraid, so you'll have to wait until the warmer weather for us to try it out!

RRP : £10 for 4 x 200ml

Disclosure : I received a family pack of sun cream in order to write an honest review.

  1. We often go away in either January or February so I always tend to buy suncream out of season. My only tip would be to buy much more than you think you will need, especially with little one's because they need to be protected at all times.
It's definitely cheaper to buy suncream out of season, although I seem to remember that last summer our local supermarket was completely overstocked with suncream...sold out of rain hats and wellies though :-)

    Anyway, Happy New Year!
