The Pampery Tin Bath Set review

This rather lovely cupcake-inspired tin of bath and beauty products was one of the things that Sophie discovered under the Christmas tree. It is from The Pampery brand which, believe it or not, is an ASDA own-label.

Once you've removed the cardboard sleeve, the tin has no branding on it at all - it's just a rather fetching blue and pink polka dot tin that can be recycled for storing make-up, nail varnish, sweets, money or whatever you want, in the bathroom or in your bedroom.

It contains a 100ml bottle of cream bath, a 50ml tube of body lotion, 2 cupcake-shaped bath fizzers and a pink body puff for exfoliating in the shower. I had a sniff of each product and decided it smelt of vanilla and strawberry cupcakes. When I looked at the label, I wasn't far off at all because they mention their signature hints of vanilla, caramel and strawberry.

There are a couple of things I don't like about the products. Firstly, they are produced in China (that's a huge and unnecessary carbon footprint) and secondly, I can see a lot of artificial additives and chemicals that I'd rather not see - SLS, sodium sulfate, alcohol and a lot of extremely long names that I couldn't possibly even begin to pronounce (I have a vague idea that if it's too long to read, it's probably not natural and you'd probaby be better off not slathering it all over your body !).

Sophie had no such qualms though and was already happily rubbing body lotion into her arms and squealing about how lovely it smelt. She has since used the bath cream and fizzers with no adverse reactions whatsoever so, unless you've got particularly sensitive skin, it shouldn't cause any problems.

They're lovely gift sets with a price tag that won't break the budget.
