Our Achica Wishlist for Sophie's Room Makeover

Sophie wants me to help her undertake a room makeover next week. Two rooms in fact, as she's got a whole little "apartment" in the converted loft. Now that she's 11 - almost a teen - the Disney Princess picture frames have got to go (Juliette is excitedly waiting to inherit them !) and she wants a London-themed bedroom and a jungle-themed landing/stairwell. Hmmm. When members only luxury lifestyle store achica asked me to write a review featuring my wishlist, I decided to see if they'd have anything to inspire me. Well, they certainly did !

Sophie would squeal with delight if she saw this funky London beanbag. It's a whopping 140x180cm in size so is ideal for laying on to read or watch TV or even take out to the garden if we have a proper summer this year - they had these dotted around the pool at the hotel we stayed in when we went to Tunisia and they are so comfortable, even for grown ups. It will set you back £100, which isn't cheap, but it originally cost £195 so you are getting a great deal, and it would make a really eye-catching feature.

You can't get more London-themed than this clock by Goodwin & Goodwin. Achica are selling it for £44 rather than it's £54.95 RRP. I'm not sure Sophie would manage to get to school in time though without any numbers on it to guide her !

I have fallen in love with Duffy London's range of prints, especially when I realised that they are Glo Canvases. The write-up explains : "Designed and hand-made in London, each bespoke image is digitally printed onto cotton canvas which is then stretched over a wooden frame. The frame is installed with low energy strip lights that illuminate the Chandelier print from within, giving a warm ambient glow. Not just a wonderful artwork but also a unique, clever and chic way to bring light into a room." Forget Sophie's room, I fancy a couple of these in our bedroom or the lounge ! (Achica price £45, RRP £60)

This limited edition Pure Evoke Mio Radio may look slightly retro but it's actually very high tech, being a digital radio with an input for your iPod. It also features a kitchen timer, alarm and auto-dimming OLED display, as well as an optional rechargeable battery pack. (£119.99 instead of £149.99)

If you're loving the patriotic vibe but thinking that your budget can't stretch that far, fear not - they also have some Union Jack cushions available for under a tenner. (£8.50 and £9.99, instead of £14.99 and £16.99)

I've just let Sophie have a look through and she said she wants the lot, please !

Please note that achica run exclusive shopping opportunities that only last up to 72 hours, so if you see something you love, grab it quick or it will be too late.
