Our Red Nose Day Biscuits

When an invitation came through to take part in a blogger challenge to make (or at least decorate) some Red Nose biscuits in honour of Comic Relief, it was perfect timing because - as you may have just seen - we'd just made a batch of Anzac Biscuits. Click through to see the recipe - it's really simple, only uses store cupboard basics and they're delicious and chewy.

I happened to have some ready-to-roll red icing in the cupboard, so Pierre and Juliette were put on red nose-rolling duty !

Does this count as child labour ?!

The Madhouse Mini-testers decided they needed eyes too so a bit of rummaging came up with some white ready-to-roll icing and some mini chocolate chips. Perfect !

Juliette had a great time and did a fantastic job of decorating them all by herself.

Look Mum ! That smile says it all - she was very proud of herself, and quite rightly too !

Are you baking for Comic Relief ? Keep an eye on Sainsbury's Facebook page and they'll be sharing photos of some of the bloggers' Red Nose Day cookies
