Ravensburger puzzle club review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

To be quite honest, this month's puzzle from Ravensburger Puzzle Club was one that I wouldn't have picked out for the girls - a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed puzzle. Nevertheless, Juliette excitedly grabbed it and asked if I'd help her make it - shows how much I know then !

It's a 200 XXL piece puzzle aimed at children aged 8+ . Juliette had no trouble at all putting the edge pieces together. As usual, we were impressed by the quality of the puzzle and the fact that the pieces interlock so firmly that you can slide it about all over the floor without it breaking apart.

The puzzle shows all four hero turtles - Donatello, Leonardo, Michaelangelo and Raphael - as well as three brightly coloured baddies (sorry, I have no idea what they're called !). It's actually quite a tricky puzzle for a child to do because the colours cover quite large blocks and lots of pieces look very similar. 8-year-old Juliette had great fun putting it together but did need a bit of help.

The fact that it was quite difficult gave her a real sense of satisfaction when it was finished though. Any TMNT fans who are eagerly awaiting the upcoming movie will definitely love it.

star rating : 4.5/5

  1. That looks like a good puzzle, my eldest son who is now 6 is brilliant at puzzles, and believe it or not at the age of 2 he could do a 24 piece puzzle all on his own! He would love this Turtle puzzle, he would be jealous to hear you get a puzzle delivered each month, lol
