Giveaway #281 : Win a copy of Geek Girl - closed - winner Sarah Lee

Geek Girl is a semi-autobiographical first novel by ex-model-turned-author, Holly Smale. It tells the account of an unlikely teenage model who becomes entangled in the dramas of adolescence as she navigates the glamorous world of modelling, not always with huge success.

When self-confessed, socially awkward geek Harriet Manners is spotted by a top model agent, she grabs the chance to reinvent herself despite what this entails: stealing her best friend's dream, incurring the wrath of her arch-enemy Alexa, repeatedly humiliating herself in front of impossibly handsome model Nick and worst of all, lying to the people she loves. Veering from one couture disaster to the next with the help of her overly enthusiastic father and her über geeky stalker, Toby, Harriet begins to realise that the world of fashion doesn't seem to like her any more than the real world did, and is certainly no less forgiving.

The publishers have kindly provided a copy of Geek Girl to give away to one Madhouse Family Reviews reader.
