Kids' DVD review : Lala-Oopsies: A Sew Magical Tale

*** Don't miss my giveaway to win Lala-Oopsies DVDs & dolls ! ***

You all know the Lalaloopsies, but now get ready to meet the Lala-Oopsies ! A brand new DVD from the makers of Lalaloopsy will hit the shelves next week - on the 27th May, to be precise - and the Madhouse Mini-testers were very excited to receive a copy to review. Lala-Oopsies: A Sew Magical Tale is a full-length feature lasting about 45 minutes, rather than a series of short episodes, but I was stunned to see that 3-year-old Pierre and 8-year-old Juliette sat and watched the whole thing from start to finish in one sitting.

We were all a bit surprised to see that the settings and the characters aren't the usual ones - it's a bit like a Lalaloopsies spin off really. The official blurb says : "Now for the very first time you can journey beyond the rolling green hills of the original Lalaloopsy Land to an extraordinary place never seen before, where islands float on strawberry milk surrounded by tall mushroom trees to meet the Lala-Oopsies! The whimsical Lala-Oopsies are princess ballerinas, fairies and mermaids who love to throw tea parties, make sweets and knit treats. But their kingdom ends up in trouble when the strawberry milk, which powers Lala-Oopsies Land, suddenly stops flowing and our new friends need some help to save their precious homes…"

The new characters and surroundings are very appealing and the story is a heartwarming tale of friendship and adventure that all kids will love. I love the cute drawings and the vibrant colours too.

Don't go away - I'll be back with a giveaway where you can win some fab Lala-Oopsies prizes in just a second.
