What's Cooking at the Madhouse next week? Menu Plan 3/5

Next week is a bit of a weird one. It's a two day week ! We go to work on Monday and Tuesday but Wednesday and Thursday are bank holidays and Friday was given as a bonus day off (that we - teachers and schoolchildren - have to catch up at the end of term) to make a very long weekend. It's a bit like another half term and we only had our holidays a week ago ! Anyway, all that means that I'll need to plan lunches as well as dinners most days. This week is a very rough plan as we may fit in some days out, which always changes our eating plans.

Saturday

lunch - possibly McDonalds, otherwise something quick like Spanish omelettes

dinner - homemade chicken tikka masala with salad and raita

Sunday

lunch - the classic Sunday roast - and my parents and sister are coming for the day so I might knock up an apple crumble for dessert too.

dinner - whoever is hungry will nibble on soup, porridge, cereal or a bagel

Monday

dinner - sticky barbecue glazed chicken quarters with mash and vegetables (or maybe coleslaw - or maybe both !)

Tuesday

dinner - Punjabi Tomato Curry (chicken breast with added veg/mushrooms/onions) and rice

Wednesday

lunch - beefburgers and pasta (Madhouse Daddy special)

dinner - cheesy veg bake with bacon & herb steamed potatoes and pork chops

Thursday

lunch - by popular demand, fajitas - again !

dinner - slow cooked beef with garlic and herb wedges and veg - maybe broccoli but it depends what's in this week's veg box

Friday

lunch - Pork chops with Smoky Texan marinade, mushrooms & onions, served with couscous and salad or veggies

dinner - Provencal Herb Chicken with ratatouille & pasta
