Madhouse recipe : Naughty But Nice Fruity Bites

As you know, we are on a mission to use up a crateload of strawberries this week, so today we made up some Naughty But Nice Fruity Bites - think of a less messy version of a chocolate fondue.

First of all, we raided the cupboards for some crunchy and/or pretty bits and came up with a variety of odds and ends : mixed seeds, silver balls, chocolate sprinkles, crunched up cereal, blue edible dust.

We set up a workstation with a bowl of melted chocolate, a plate of strawberries and banana slices and the plateful full of toppings.

Sophie had great fun dipping the fruit into the chocolate to half cover it then rolling it in the topping of choice.

She also discovered that most of them actually stick to the fruit without the addition of chocolate which makes it a much healthier option, if you're watching your waistline !

Needless to say, they were all polished off in double quick time and the Madhouse Mini-testers have asked if we can make some more tomorrow ! Well, I guess it counts towards their five-a-day !
