Postman Pat SDS Delivery Van review

First of all, if you're scratching your head wondering what SDS stands for, it's Special Delivery Service - but if you have a little Postman Pat fan amongst you, I'm sure you knew that already ! Pierre certainly did and he was very excited to see what the postman had delivered for him to play with. He immediately (well, not quite immediately because I had to do battle with the box first !) started pushing it around on the floor, telling me that he had a delivery of parcels for me so that I could do some more reviews !!

The toy van does look just like Pat 2, Postman Pat's big SDS parcel van, as you can see on this DVD cover. It comes complete with two parcels that you can load and unload to your heart's content, using the rolling door on the side. We all thought it was a shame that you don't get a Postman Pat figurine (and even a Jess) with the vehicle as this would open up a whole new world of creative roleplay possibilities.

The free-wheeling van can be easily pushed around - Pierre drove it around on the wood floor but also the table cloth. It's not hugely robust - the doors have a tendency to fall off but they're easy enough to put back on again - but Pierre has been having great fun playing with it.
