In The Night Garden toys review

Pierre is a huge In The Night Garden fan - and so am I because it is such a peaceful, calming programme that it is always ideal for getting him ready for bed or soothing him when he's going a bit over the top ! We were therefore very excited to learn that an exciting new range of In The Night Garden toys is being introduced by Golden Bear this autumn. They promise that this magical new collection will capture the true essence of the show and captivate youngsters, so we were over the moon to be asked to review some of the products.

The first toy is the lovely Lullaby Igglepiggle. His irresistible softness and ultra cute face already made him an absolute winner, but the real magic begins when you press Igglepiggle's hand - you can hear three lullabies and watch his cheeks glow softly in three different colours as he gently sways along to the music. Even as a grown up, this will melt your heart !

He is 30cm tall which is the perfect size for snuggling up to in bed (or on the settee watching In The Night Garden DVDs !) and, as a grown up, I was very pleased to see that the 3 x AA batteries required are already installed.

Once your little fan has had a sleep with Igglepiggle and is all rested, they'll love moving on to the Play a Tune Upsy Daisy. By pressing the buttons on her skirt, you can create lovely (or, let's be honest, probably totally discordant !) music. By pushing her flower button, you can activate a magical tune.

Upsy Daisy is also 30cm tall so she can play and dance quite happily with the Igglepiggle toy, and her batteries come included too. (Big cheers for Golden Bear from parents everywhere !)

I can see these being on an awful lot of Christmas wishlists for Santa this year !

star rating : 5/5

  1. My little one is outgrowing her In the Night Garden toys but her favourite was a singing Upsy Daisy doll. It must be the one you're reviewing.
