Floppets review

Back-to-school time is always the perfect moment for a new playground collectible to be launched, and sure enough, we recently received some Floppets to review. The official blurb says : "Children will love getting creative and personalising their belongings before heading back to school with the huge variety of Floppets available. Floppets can be attached with a Velcro loop strap to backpacks, pens and pencil cases, shoes, clothes, glasses, fingers or toes and much more! The different Floppet groups include Petlets, Munchkin Monsters and Flop Seas and they all hail from the island of Floptopia, each with their own name, habitat and treasure." We received some of the Petlets Floppets and all three of the Madhouse Mini-testers loved them, so they obviously appeal to a wide range of ages - 4-12 in our house alone.

They're simple to attach with a Velcro strap, even for 4-year-old Pierre.

They can be made into rings but the Velcro is a bit scratchy and the animal is a bit too big and gets in the way.

Sophie made hers into a very funky hairband accessory.

Pierre proudly attached his to the Velcro straps on his shoes.

While Juliette fixed hers to her belt loop.

They're very cute and have the perfect pocket money price of £1.99 so I'm sure they'll be a hit with teens and tweens. Floppets has teamed up with Start Rite Shoes to offer children a special Floppets foil pack with every new pair of back to school shoes purchased in Brantano, Selfridges, Harrods and other independent stores.
