Fruit Broo review

Sophie loves drinking fruit teas when she's cold and I'm rather partial to hot Ribena when I've got a sore throat, so we were pleased to receive some bottles of Fruit Broo to try out recently because it is a happy medium between the two. It's a brand new product that aims to fill a gap in the hot drink market, created by Mike Brehme who introduced Clipper teas to the world in 1984. It is made with real fruit juices, herbs and spices and is perfect for the cold weather.

It comes in six flavours and the two that we tried were Peach, Pear & Honey and Lemon & Ginger. The other choices are Rhubarb, Apple & Cinnamon, Elderflower & Lime, Honey & Lemon and Apple, Ginger & Spice. They all sound lovely and festive, especially the ones with cinnamon and spice.

They come in little 100ml bottles which contain enough for 15 cups (unless you're using the enormous oversized mug in the pictures above !). They're really convenient to use because you just add one or two teaspoons (or just a quick dash - there's really no need to measure it out precisely) of Fruit Broo to a cup then add hot water. No drippy teabags to dispose of or burn your fingers on, no waiting for it to infuse - it's ready to drink when you are.

Each cup contains 15 calories and is caffeine free. It's sweet enough to quash any sugar-cravings that you may have mid afternoon without wrecking your diet and we love the fact that you can make it as strong or as weak as you like to suit your tastes.
