Board game review : Fibber

When we received Spin Master's Fibber board game to review, I'd never heard of it but as soon as I showed Juliette, she squealed "ooooh yes, you have to wear glasses and make your nose as long as an elephant's trunk" ! Well, strangely enough, that's quite an accurate description !

The instructions make it sound quite complicated but game play is actually really simple. You move the "silver nose" one space around the board on each turn to decide which card needs to be played - bigfoots, aliens, ghosts, witches or dragons. The player whose turn it is selects the cards he has of this suit and lays them down, declaring the number of cards he has put down - or he can lie and lay down different cards. If he is called a fibber by the other players and they are right, he has to add a piece to his nose and take all the cards, but if they are wrong, they have to. As there are four of each suit in the pack, you can play strategically or just try to judge the other players by their expressions.

The plastic glasses are great fun to wear.

Very fetching, don't you think ?!

It's one of those games that involves lots of giggling and nobody even really cares if they're winning or losing because they're just having lots of silly fun !

I'm Juliette was aiming to get the longest nose possible in fact, despite the winner being the one with the shortest nose !
