Oh go on then ... Dangerously Divine Cocktail recipe

Well, I think they may have had one to many of these themselves in the Divine press office because this Valentine's Day cocktail landed in my inbox this morning, a day late, but it sounds too fabulous not to share it with you !

Divine Chocolate, the farmer owned chocolate company, and Foundation Bar in Covent Garden have joined forces to create the ultimate indulgence this Valentine's Day. The cocktail based on Divine's Milk Chocolate with Toffee and Sea Salt is a delicious combination of chocolate, vodka and toffee liquor.

The Dangerously Divine cocktail featured on last weekend’s Sunday Brunch TV show with presenter Tim Lovejoy’s exclaiming: “This is my favourite cocktail!”

David Kay, Head Mixologist at Foundation Bar, who created the cocktail, assures that the drink is surprisingly refreshing. “This is the ultimate in Valentine’s treats – boozy, fresh and dangerously chocolatey. It’s surprisingly light – chocolate is the perfect accompaniment to a romantic Valentine’s night.”

Dangerously Divine: A Caramel Salted Chocolate Martini

Ingredients: (serves 2)
100g Divine Chocolate with Toffee and Sea Salt
100ml Vodka
50ml Caramel Toffee Liquor
Ice

Preparation – rim martini glass in melted chocolate and salt and place in the freezer and leave for at least an hour to harden.

Melt Divine Chocolate with Toffee and Sea Salt Bar to make Chocolate Liquor (To make the chocolate liquor, put 150ml water and the chocolate in a saucepan and bring to simmer over a low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and allow to cool).

Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add 100ml of chocolate liquor, 100ml of Vodka and 50ml of Caramel Toffee Liquor and shake very well.

Pour into frozen glasses, grate with Divine Chocolate with Toffee and Sea Salt Bar and serve.

  1. This seems like a delightful cocktail. Chocolate is Divine, I do enjoy it. Though have yet to try Toffee and Sea Salt flavour.
