Ocado's kid-friendly deals for March review

Online supermarket Ocado are going out of their way to save you pounds this March on child-friendly products, toys and baby essentials. They sent us through a selection of goodies which were all met with squeals of delight from the Madhouse Mini-testers !

We received :

Strawberry & Raspberry Petits Filous fromage frais (£1.50 for a 6-pack)
2 x Ocado Kids' Easy Peelers (£1.99 for 600g - they really are easier to peel too !)
Cadbury's Chocolate Mini Rolls and Double Chocolate Mini Rolls (£1.60 for a pack of 6)
L'Oreal Kids Very Berry Strawberry Conditioner (£1.99 for 250ml)
L'Oreal Kids Very Berry Strawberry  2-in-1 conditioner (£1.99 for 250ml)
2 x Birds Eye 36 frozen chicken nuggets (£4.99 per 750g bag)

The total price should have been £22.64 but there were a number of offers - the L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner (which both smell really nice by the way) were on a "2 for £3.50" deal and the mini rolls were down to £1 a pack, meaning a total saving of £1.68. That's not bad at all for a shop made up of just 9 items.

Here are the current deals relating to these products :

L'Oreal Kids Very Berry Strawberry 2 in 1Shampoo 250ml – Was £1.99, now £1.33, Offer ends: 01.04.14
Petits Filous Strawberry & Raspberry Fromage Frais 6 x 50g – Was £1.50, now £1.00, Offer ends: 23.04.14
Ocado Kid's Easy Peelers 600g – Was £1.99, now £1.00, Offer ends: 01.04.14
Birds Eye 36 Chicken Nuggets Frozen 750g – Was £4.99, now £2.50, Offer ends: 01.04.14

Just from having a quick click around on the Ocado website, I've spotted some other fab deals that are currently available. Huggies Pull-Ups are half price and Pampers have a "buy any 3, get the cheapest free" offer - nappies always cost a lot so that could save you a packet. The Easy Peelers are now on BOGOF (buy one get one free), as are various other items from fishfingers and Clover spread to leeks, plums and Pringles. The afore-mentioned kids deals have some great items available - there are some lovely half-price baby gifts (bodysuit and bib sets for example - well worth stocking up on now if you have any pregnant friends) as well as branded gifts and activity packs (Very Hungry Caterpillar, Art Attack, My Little Pony, Moshi Monsters, etc) that look great for keeping the kids busy on a budget.

It's definitely well worth having a click around on the special deals and top offers to see what promotions they currently have on the go. They also offer £10 off your first shop on the homepage which will help keep costs down even further.

Disclosure : We received a selection of products from Ocado in order to check out the March offers and write an honest review.
