Cadbury Egg 'n' Spoon kids' craft activities

Easter is soon upon us so it's almost time for your kids to eat their entire body weight in chocolate ! Cadbury set the ball rolling by sending us through some of their Dairy Milk Egg 'n' Spoon chocolate eggs. Delicious as they were, the eating wasn't even the best part. Cadbury have come up with a series of arts & crafts activities for recycling your Egg 'n' Spoon boxes, including Batty Aunt Polly's Earring Drum, Easter Chick Basket, Larry the Lamb or - the one that we made - a Mexican Bean Shaker. (I've uploaded the instruction sheets so click on the links to find out how to make them.)

Even Sophie got involved, cutting the box in half and snipping off the middle peaks.

Pierre was very intrigued about what we'd be doing with the rice !

I found a use for the leftover crepe paper from Christmas - it's perfect with PVA glue for instant papier maché for filling up the gaps !

After leaving it to dry for a few days, Pierre and Juliette took over as team two !

It was such a lovely sunny Sunday that we opted for some outdoor messy play.

Make sure you get into all the tiny nooks and crannies, Pierre !

The finished work of art.

Not quite as pretty as the original, but the kids had great fun making it, which is the main thing !

It makes a great sound when you shake it too !

Disclosure : We received the product, in order to try out the crafts activities.
