Homemade bracelets are big news at the moment, especially if you're a tween or teen girl, and the Madhouse girls were delighted to receive a Shimmer & Sparkle Cra-Z Loom Bracelet Maker to review
The box contains a loom that you use with brightly coloured latex-free rubber bands to create funky bracelets. You get 600 bands in a variety of colours that are enough to create 24 bracelets.
12-year-old Sophie couldn't wait to have a go !
It looked quite complicated and very fiddly to me but with just the briefest of glances at the instructions, Sophie was off !
She made it look so easy ! The loom allows you to create single, double or triple loop combinations.
Her first bracelet took literally a few minutes to create.
As did the second.
And the third, fourth and fifth !
She's made them for herself, her brother and sister (she even made one for me !) but also her friends, who are now requesting bracelets made with specific colours ! We've already spotted that you can buy refills - I thought 600 sounded like a lot of bands but apparently, we'll need to buy some more soon !
The packaging has a 6+ suggested age on it but I think this is a bit optimistic. I think 9-year-old Juliette would struggle without adult help so it's probably best for ages 10+. It's perfect for Sophie though. She loves it.
