Sunday weigh-in : at last !

I'm a bit late with the weekly weigh-in post this week because we've just been off at the neighbourhood boot sale. They shut all the roads off, make them pedestrian and everyone sets up picnic tables along the pavements. We picked up a few bits - Juliette got a little Monster High dressing table and chair to go with her dolls, Pierre got a couple of 10p toys and Sophie got a Big Ben mirrored picture, a "Peace" picture and a big pile of magazines that she is now going through looking for mentions of One Direction. She was all excited yesterday because one of her friends, who was at the concert, phoned her so she could hear everyone screaming, the band playing and *swoon* Niall talking. Sophie phoned her back three more times to get her 1D fix and went to bed a happy girlie. Not quite as good as being there but a very nice surprise all the same and a really nice thing for her friend to do. But I digress, on to the weekly weigh-in !

After two weeks of gaining, I was getting a bit disheartened so I made a couple of bad choices this week, eating a rather lovely bar of chocolate and choosing burger and chips rather than a salad at McDonald's yesterday. It was therefore a nice surprise to get on the scales this week and see that I've lost 500g. A totally nonsensical but nevertheless much appreciated step back in the right direction !

Positives of the week

- It's hot, I can do salad and fruit salad and nobody will complain !

- We're off on a big nature walk/geocaching adventure this afternoon, once Madhouse Daddy has finished barbecuing our dinner !

- I shared out most of my remaining Jelly beans four ways with the kids - that's totally unheard of so it must be the SlimPod. *Glares at Trevor* !

- My ticker has gone back to 9kg after dropping to 8 last week - phew.

- The numbers are going the right way slowly but surely - last week was 43lb to go, 19lb lost, this week it's 41 and 20 respectively.

Current targets

Last week's target : Get back on track - get the numbers going down again. It's taken 2 weeks to put back on 1.5kg so let's see if I can lose it again in a week. (I'll call it a half done)

This week's targets : Lose again - 500g at least but 1kg would be lovely - ang get my ticker back up to double figures and weight left to lose into the 30s

Short-term targets Get back to the 70-somethings.

Longer-term targets :  Get my badges back to "weight lost" being more than "left to lose"

START WEIGHT :93.7kg
TARGET WEIGHT : 67.8kg
WEIGHT LAST WEEK  : 85.3kg
WEIGHT TODAY : 84.8kg
WEIGHT LOST SO FAR :  8.9kg
STILL TO GO : 16.8kg
CHANGE THIS WEEK : -0.5kg

Feel free to add your weightloss posts to my weekly linkie - it's great to see how everyone else has been getting on and give each other support and encouragement. You can even grab the linkie code and add it to your own blog if you like. :)

  1. Great job on your weight loss! You can easily fit a little bit of "naughty" food every now and then, I think it makes losing the weight easier if you incorporate things you enjoy within your diet in moderation, I find it stops me over indulging plus it pushes me harder with my exercise.

Good luck for next week, concentrate on all the positives!

    1. I think you have to work "naughty" stuff in, as it's a long term plan and not a quick fix diet. It's funny how sometimes, you do everything right and the weight doesn't come off or even goes up, but when you slack a bit, it comes off !

  2. The 'get the InLinkz code' is redirecting me to blogger so I haven't been able to put it on my post!

  3. Sounds like a good week overall. A loss is even better if there's chocolate involved. Agree with you and Sharon, long term plans can't have banned foods, you'd go crazy craving them.
    You are doing really well.

  5. Hey Sweetie, noticed that you haven't done a post like this the last couple of weeks, wasn't sure if you were taking a break? Hope all is going well with your healthy eating and fitness!

    1. I've been flat out for the past couple of weeks and decided to take a step back - not sure whether to take the summer off for the weigh-in posts or start again next week, but I'll be away from home for the whole of August so it all gets a bit more patchy anyway !!

    2. I thought you had been busy but just wanted to check, It might be best to focus on the activity rather than weighing in, it feels like such a pressure in such a short space of time. Anyway, enjoy your summer!
