Have you met Maya The Bee yet? The Maya the Bee CGI series has been shown on TV screens in Europe since 2012 and arrived in the UK in January this year - it is shown on Tiny Pop three times on weekdays and twice on Saturday and Sunday. Here at The Madhouse, we've known the cute little bee for a very long time because the kids watch her in French where the original cartoon series has been on air since 1978 !
She always reminds us of the bee on the Kellogg's Honey Loops packaging so the Madhouse kids sometimes say they want Maya cereal for breakfast ! Maya is always going off for adventures and has a whole host of friends, including Flip the grasshopper, Ben the dung beetle, Mrs. Cassandra (Maya's teacher), Barry the most intelligent fly in the neighbourhood, Queen Bee and many other insects and little creatures
But the Madhouse kids' favourite character is undoubtedly Maya's best friend, sidekick and partner in crime, Willy. Every mention of his name is guaranteed to raise a giggle from Pierre !
We were delighted to receive a DVD of the show along with a gorgeous plush toy - in my next blog post, you'll be able to win some of these lovely toys so make sure you look out for that !
In the meantime, if you're looking for things to keep the kids entertained over the summer holidays, the Maya The Bee UK Facebook page is a great place to start. They have some printables available, including a colouring activity sheet, Maya the Bee mask and a Create your own Maya the Bee activity sheet.
