Vimto Squeezy review

With a heatwave apparently on the way this summer (or is that just wishful thinking ?!), keeping the kids hydrated is going to be ultra-important so I was pleased to discover a new range of Vimto Squuezy squashes hitting the shelves. I was even more pleased when Vimto kindly sent us through the whole range to try out.

There are three flavours available - Strawberry, Cherry and Original - and they are ultra-concentrated so you only need a tiny squeeze in each glass. The small 50ml bottles have enough in them for approximately 25 servings, depending on how hard you squeeze (less is more, believe me, and it's easier to add extra than keep topping up with water if it's too strong !). I love the fact that they take up much less space in the kitchen cupboard and that they are small and light enough for children to serve themselves without difficult-to-open caps or heavy bottles to lift (and spill !).

We loved all three flavours - they're beautifully sweet and fruity and very refreshing - and I was extra pleased to see that they are sugar free so each glass contains barely any calories.

The only very slight niggle is that they all look the same colour once they're diluted so if you've served different flavours for different people, you'll have a very hard time telling them apart !

That's the only downside though - we love them and will definitely be buying them again. They do seem very expensive given the size of the bottle but they last just as long, if not longer, than the bigger, less concentrated bottles.

star rating : 5/5

RRP : £2.4 for 50ml
