Children's book review : Deadly Sticker Book

You may remember, a couple of months ago we reviewed - and loved - the DeadlyFactbook : Bizarre Beasts, so you can imagine how excited the kids were when a new book arrived from the range and they discovered it's a sticker book. Cue squeals of delight !

The middle of the book contains not one, not two but three double pages of stickers, featuring animals but also "deadly" logos and comments like "fearsome", "awesome" and "wow" to decorate the pages.

The other pages have lots of blank spaces for you to stick your stickers in, as well as interesting nuggets of information by theme, such as here, learning about the weapons that different creatures use for hunting or fighting.

Some pages are totally devoid of information so it's not as detailed as the factbooks but you do get the extra fun of finding and sticking in the right stickers and it's very visually appealing.

The back page does contain quite a lot of quick-facts too. Did you know for example that the bluefin tuna swims at 72km an hour or that the cassowary has a dagger-like claw on each foot? No ? Neither did I!

It's a great way of keeping the kids occupied during the holidays or on long car or plane journeys. It will undoubtedly appeal to all ages, but older children may prefer the more in-depth details offered by the factbooks.

star rating : 4/5

Disclosure : We received the book in order to write an honest review.
