KeraFiber Hair Care review

KeraFiber recently sent through a selection of their haircare products for me to try out. It was a brand that I was aware of because I hosted a giveaway for them earlier in the year, but this was the first time I'd tried them myself. Their star product is their Hair Building Fibers, which allow you to combat thinning hair by bonding natural keratin protein fibres to your hair, giving thicker and apparently undetectable coverage. The products they sent me are more everyday products that everyone can use to protect, strengthen and rejuvenate your hair.

First up was the Hair Thickening Shampoo, which is specially formulated for men and women with thinning hair, to provide gentle cleansing and create an optimal environment for healthy hair growth. It delivers intact keratin proteins to the cortex of the hair to improve strength and fullness. As I already have very thick hair, I was a bit worried it would make my hair too bushy so I tried it out on Juliette instead, as she has much finer hair. It has a lovely creamy texture, a luxurious-looking pearly colour and it smells nice too. It cleaned the hair with just one wash, produced lots of lovely foam and was easy to wash out.

I followed on with the Hair Thickening Conditioner, described by KeraFiber as a unique thickening and moisturising formula incorporating keratin protein to improve health and strength and provide natural shine and weightless volume from within. As I smoothed it through the hair, I could instantly feel it becoming sleek, perfectly conditioned and tangle-free. They weren't lying about the shine - I've never seen Juliette's hair look so glossy and she can't stop running her hands through it, saying "it's still all smooth and shiny" ! That's just after one application too.

I was really excited to try out the Protect and Revive hair serum because it contains keratin and also argan oil, an ingredient that I fell in love with when visiting the goat trees and argan oil cooperatives in Morocco. I tried it at bedtime because I was a bit concerned about it making my hair look or feel greasy, but I needn't have worried. It gave instant shine and softness with no oiliness, and I can still feel the effects a couple of days after applying it. A little goes a very long way too - you just need to smooth a few drops through your hair for it to work its magic.

I also received a Volume Revive Dry Shampoo, which is described as a weightless powder spray to give depth and energy to your hair. I'm always worried about dry shampoo making my hair look like I've emptied a bottle of talcum powder all over it, but thisone didn't weigh my hair down or make it feel gunked up. I don't actually need any more volume so it's not that well suited to me, but if you're having a bad hair day and don't have time to jump in the shower, it could be just the thing.

I have been seriously impressed with the products and would recommend them for healthy, glossy hair, whether or not you have thinning hair.
