Mini Nibs premium nibbles review

When Fuelmyblog offered bloggers the chance to review a selection of premium nibbles from NibNibs, I knew they'd get a warm reception at The Madhouse. Sure enough, as soon as the postie dropped them off, the Madhouse Mini-testers and Madhouse Daddy pounced on them !

We received four different products from the range to try out :
- Exceptional Cheddar & Cheeky Onion Straws
- Exceptional Cheddar & Spicy Chili Straws
- Exceptional Cheddar Cheese Straws
- Roasted Salt & Pepper Jumbo Peanuts

The Cheese Straws have a lovely crumbly, crunchy texture, a bit like bread sticks, and a lovely strong cheesy flavour, which is really brought to life by the topnotes of chilli or onion. The chili kick isn't too strong, but the kids still found them too spicy. Their favourite was the plain cheddar whereas I preferred the cheddar and onion - it's such a classic combination and this seemed much more sophisticated than tucking into a bag of crisps !

The peanuts are also very nice. The foil sealed pack keeps them beautifully fresh and the salt and pepper seasoning makes a nice change to the usual salted or dry roasted peanuts. They're dangerously moreish so luckily, the little pot helps where your willpower falters, providing just enough for a snack to share with your other half in fornt of the telly - if you're feeling nice !

I had a look at their website and discovered that their products are "made with love in Yorkshire", using British ingredients as far as possible. They explain: "We are passionate about nibbling and love creating moreish quality snacks that are full of the very best of everything." It certainly seems to work ! I also love the fact that on their pinterest page, you can see them making the cheese straws by hand.

If you fancy giving them a try, don't go away - I have a giveaway coming right up where you can win a selection.
