Cookbook review : How to Bake by Paul Hollywood

Suppose.com recently got in touch and asked if I'd like to receive a copy of Paul Hollywood's How To Bake, to check out their price tracking tool which promises to get you the lowest prices possible by constantly comparing and highlighting the offers on different websites.

You probably know Paul Hollywood as the  judge on The Great British Bake Off but did you know that he started out in his father's bakery straight from school ? His father wasn't the first baker in the family though - his grandfather was head baker at The Adelphi Hotel, so it's certainly a family affair.

The book gets back to basics, looking at the choice of ingredients and basic techniques for making all sorts of breads, cakes and pastries.

Once you get on to the recipes, there are lots of lovely things to choose from, including wholemeal loaf, ciabatta, soda bread, focaccia, chapatis, Cheddar and apple bread, baklava, fruit loaf, fresh croissants, scones, classic Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle cake, buttery shortbread and triple layer chocolate cake. Where to begin?!

I decided to keep things simple and was really pleased with this beautifully soft bread that was gorgeous slathered with Rodda's clotted cream butter.

So how did Suppose do in getting a good price? Well, the RRP is £20 but it's currently £9 on amazon. The price tracker shows that it has been on sale for as low as £5 and £4 though, so if it's a book you're interested in, click through to follow it and they will alert you when the price drops.

Disclosure : I received the product in order to write an honest review and check out the price tracker tool.
