Baby Born Interactive “Doctor” doll review

Is there a doctor in the (Mad)house? Well, there is now, since we received the new Baby Born Interactive “Doctor” doll to review.

I have to admit, as a grown-up, I did have a few reservations about a baby as a doctor. I know they say that you know you're getting old when you think the policemen and doctors look like kids but surely this is taking it to the extreme ! Juliette didn't appear to have any qualms though and just assumed that she's playing dress up, she isn't a real doctor - fair enough !

She comes with a range of baby accessories which I assumed were supposed to be used on her patients but Juliette said no (barely refraining from rolling her eyes at me !) and explained (again !) that they were for her, she's still a baby just pretending to be a doctor - that told me ! You can feed her with a little feeding bowl and spoon, use a bottle, a dummy and change her nappy. Just like the classic Baby Born doll, she has all the same lifelike functions - she can open and close her eyes, drink and wee, cry tears, sit on her potty, hold her dummy in her mouth ...

Her medical coat has lots of accessories printed on it - a stethoscope, clipboard, pen, light and numerous other medical implements in a pocket.

She also has very funky Crocs-type shoes that you can take off.

There is also a really lovely feature - a shiny metal heart-shaped "it's a girl" charm that your daughter can wear around her wrist and that matches the one on her Baby Born doll.

It's the details that make Baby Born such a special playmate ! She's great for imaginative role play and you can even take her in the bath.
