Daioni Welsh Organic Flavoured Milk review

Daioni (which is pronounced Dye-On-Knee and means "goodness" in Welsh) sent us through some cartons of their new organic flavoured milk to try out - the first organic flavoured milk cartons on the market in fact.

These handy 200ml or 250ml cartons of dairy goodness are low in fat (they use semi-skimmed milk) and sugar and they are free from all artificial colouring. They come in three tempting flavours, Chocolate, Strawberry and Banana, and they're perfect for popping into lunchboxes or keeping in the fridge for a lovely refreshing drink when the kids get home from school.

All three flavours got a thumbs-up from the Madhouse Mini-testers which is great news, as it's a simple way of keeping their calcium levels topped up. Some rather worrying recent studies have shown that only 25% of boys between 9 and 13 years old are getting enough calcium, and less than 10% of girls consume the necessary amount. This is particularly alarming as critical bone growth occurs between the ages of 11 and 15, so anything that gets kids enjoying milk more has to be a good thing. New government guidelines are coming into place in 2015 to reintroduce milk into schools too.
