It's Chime for Change !

If I showed you this funky, designer-looking box, what would you expect to see inside? Perfume? A mohair jumper? Cufflinks? Something stupidly expensive and lovely by the Kardashians?!

Well, no - it may scream luxury and high-end fashion but it is actually an exclusive Special K pack designed in collaboration with Frida Giannini, Gucci Creative Director, to mark the Chime For Change partnership that she is co-founder of. Just 200 of these funky boxes have been produced globally and I was delighted to be sent one - even more delighted when I discovered that along with the box were instructions which would allow me to donate €50 on my behalf to a Chime For Change project of my choice.

Chime For Change is a global charity which aims to improve the lives of girls and women across the globe. Launched in 2013 and founded by Frida Giannini, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Salma Hayek Pinault, it has to date funded more than 390 projects to support girls and women in 88 countries through 132 non-profit partners.

To help raise awareness of the important work done through Chime For Change, Special K has re-designed 18.5 million cereal boxes, so now people enjoying a bowl of Special K will have the opportunity to join in the campaign to support education, health and justice for girls and women by going online and voting for the projects they would most like to see funded. There are some fabulous projects just crying out for support, from building 100 clean stoves in rural Guatemala to providing safe homes for survivors of domestic abuse or creating a child marriage-free zone in Pakistan.

Please go along and add your support. To vote for the projects that you'd like to see funded, head over to https://chimeforchange.specialk.co.uk/Home/Pillars If you'd like to learn more about the projects and maybe even add a donation, go to www.chimeforchange.org/projects
