Madhouse recipe : Cheesy Tuna Pizza

You may remember me telling you about the fabulous hamper that Princes sent us, full of canned fish, to come up with some exciting recipes with. It's too easy to get stuck in the tuna/mayo sandwich/jacket potato rut and, as my Spicy Tuna & Tomato Quiche proved, it can be used in numerous other more innovative dishes. This week, I decided to try it on pizza.

I'd planned on using regular tuna in brine but when I spotted this tin of Tuna Chunks in Tomato Sauce, it was perfect. Either would work though. It's a quick family-friendly meal that is perfect when you're short on time or you've forgotten to defrost something for tea !

Cheesy Tuna Pizza

ingredients :

1 ready-to-use pizza base (or make your own or use flatbread for an instant base)
5tbsp tomato puree
1 tin tuna chunks in tomato sauce
1 mozzarella ball
cherry tomatoes
olives

Unroll the pizza base. Cover with tomato puree then the tuna.

Slice the mozzarella and place on the pizza, then arrange halved cherry tomatoes and olives all over it.

Pop under the grill for 15-20 minutes until the base is cooked and the cheese has melted and gone golden brown.

Apologies for the slightly burnt edge - I got called away to supervise the One Direction wall sticker operation at the crucial moment !

Disclosure : Princes sent me a hamper of ingredients in order to take part in the blogger challenge.

If you think you can do better, make sure you head over to share your fish dish on the www.winwithprinces.co.uk/tuna/ website !
