A very special snow globe

I can't believe Juliette is ten years old today - into double figures so it won't be long before she's into her terrible teens ! When I received a code for a free photo snowglobe, I thought it would make a great extra birthday present and I knew exactly the photo that I wanted to use - the one of her with the One Direction waxworks at Madame Tussaud's in London.

After uploading the photo online, you just have to wait a couple of days before you can go and pick it up. You get the snowglobe, two photos (because there are two sides - you could replace one by a different photo) and a template to cut the inserts to the right size.

It literally takes seconds to sort out and isn't at all complicated.

Result : one very happy birthday girl (especially as she got to wind up big sister Sophie saying "I've got some One Direction merchandise that you haven't, nah-nah-nah-nah-nah" !)

This came from a French photo shop but you can get exactly the same ones in UK photo shops and online stores. It makes a lovely personalised gift.

  3. Happy belated birthday Juliette. Have to wonder how does the photo not get wet in the solution?

    1. It's two sealed half globes with a slot in the middle to insert the photo
