Half-term Boredom Buster : Egg Carton Crocodiles #FloraFamilyFun

After yesterday's very successful Cinnamon & Raisin Cookies activity, we headed back to the Half-term Boredom Buster basket that Flora had sent us through to see what we could do today - the answer was ... Egg Carton Crocodiles !

Pierre enthusiastically started painting the egg boxes in green - this ended up being unexpectedly educational because we were all out of green so had to mix up some yellow and blue until we got the right shade. We also painted one box pink on the inside for the mouth.

We used one long 12-egg box for the body and a small 6-egg box for the head.

We added some white paper teeth - Pierre had great fun cutting out the zigzags. We used an offcut of cardboard from the eggbox to hold open his mouth so that we could see his teeth properly. We used little pieces of cardboard from the inside of the eggboxes for eyes.

Pierre was very impressed with the final model !

Disclosure : We received a Boredom Buster kit.

  1. This is a great idea, we have to do a jungle themed creation for homework over half term, this could fit in nicely! #letkidsbekids
