Frozen Colour Changing Necklace review

As the mum of a teen and tween girl and a young boy, I wasn't sure anyone at The Madhouse would be interested when an email popped into my inbox offering some Frozen Colour Changing Necklaces for review. How wrong could I be? All three of them said "say yes, Frozen is cool !"

When they arrived in the post, I still wasn't sure - they looked very childish and plasticky so I wasn't really convinced that they'd appeal to Juliette and Sophie. They have a snap together fastening which is easy for little fingers to manipulate and, I would think, offers a safety mechanism if the necklace gets caught as it should pop open.

Juliette was the first to arive and excitedly grabbed Elsa - she loved the snowflake shape and the (in her words) funky string that looked like a glowstick.

Sophie picked up Anna, grinned and said that yes, it was babyish but she still wanted it because it was cool in a kitsch, ironic kind of way. Uh huh !

The necklaces start off white but turn blue and pink in sunlight. Although they will mainly appeal to little girls, the Madhouse kids have proved that they also appeal to boys and older girls, maybe not as necklaces but as bag charms or hung up in the bedroom as a decoration.

Altogether now, "Let it glow, let it glow ..." !

Now available in a two pack priced £5.00 from Toys R Us, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s
