'Messy goes to Okido' joins the CBeebies gang today !

From kitchen table to independently published magazine for children to animated BBC TV show to global distribution ... it sounds like an unachievable dream but that's the story, in a nutshell, of ‘Messy goes to Okido’, a comedy adventure, science-educational show that follows a curious, loveable monster called Messy and that will be on your screens on CBeebies for the first time today, at 4.20pm.

Messy Monster finds the answers to everything a 2-5 year old child would want to know, with his best friends Zoe and Felix. The brave trio fly to the moon, shrink to the size of atoms and ride on the backs of giant butterflies! The show brings science to life using stories, comedy and adventure.

Messy Monster is a character created by OKIDO Magazine, the arts and science magazine for children. Originally conceived by parents on a kitchen table in Brixton, Okido magazine has grown from strength to strength to become a trusted educational periodical for curious kids and their families. Created as a reaction against all the plastic-wrapped, poor quality publications that are sold to children in the UK, Okido is a highly considered, well-designed, quality product and is now available around the world.

Each episode of ‘Messy goes to Okido’ is based on themes drawn from the OKIDO magazines; gravity, snow, floating, rain, hunger, germs, magnets, atoms and colour. The show is aimed at pre-school children and is a mix of CGI and 2D animation combined with live action.

Make sure you tune in later and let me know what you think !
