Chimasu is a monthly subscription box containing tasty snacks from across the Far East, delivered directly to your door in the UK. Each month subscribers receive 12-15 of their favourite original snacks from countries such as Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam, along with English descriptions so you know exactly what you're getting.

We received a box to review and as soon as we opened it, we were wowed by the authentic packaging and exotic treats nestling inside. As you all know, I love globecooking, so receiving a box of foodie goodies from far flung corners of the globe was a real treat.

The Madhouse kids got very excited about trying out some of the goodies (as you can see if you look closely in the background behind the bag of crisps !). The first thing we tried was these light and crispy Onion Rings crisps, which disappeared in minutes.

They also devoured the Mini Cream Wafers - I haven't eaten pink wafers for years so it was a bit of a blast from the past for me too ! - and the crispy spongey biscuits were a great hit too.

The slightly spicy snacks appealed more to the grown-ups, but they soon disappeared too.

The Mustard Peas divided opinions - they have a definite kick after eating a handful ! - but there are sweet options too, such as the fruity chewy sweets and coffee flavoured sweets.

The Madhouse Kids were delighted to discover these cute Hello Panda biscuits that are chocolated-filled and have little panda designs stamped on them - a guaranteed crowd pleaser !

The first foodie things I think of when I hear the words Far East are sushi, noodles and prawn crackers and the Chimasu box covered all of those too, with a bag of Ramen wheat crackers, shrimp flavoured crackers, Soba noodles and seaweed (which ended up being the least popular but most exotic item in the box).

Each Chimasu box contains a range of around 12-15 different Oriental snacks which have been picked based on your preferences. A Chimasu subscription costs £18 per month (with the price going down the longer you subscribe for) and postage and packaging is free within the UK.
