Cadbury Highlights hot chocolate

Four weeks into 2016,  how are your New Year's resolutions holding up? If you're one of the millions of people to start watching their waistlines and try to reduce their sugar intake, you may well be having severe chocolate withdrawal symptoms by now. Well, it may not be quite as indulgent as the real thing, but Cadbury Highlights is not bad at all as a guilt-free chocolate fix.

We received three different tubs to try - Cadbury milk chocolate, Bournville dark chocolate and (our favourite) Fudge. You just need to stir a few spoonfuls (two, three or four, depending on your tastes and how serious you are about reducing the calories !) into boiling water for a satisfying warming drink. You don't need milk because it already contains skimmed milk powder, making it perfect for keeping in your desk drawer at work. An 11g serving with 200ml of hot water provides just 38 calories and about 1g of fat so it's a better option than even a fun-sized chocolate bar. The Fudge/Cadbury branding always makes me feel like I'm having a naughty treat, even when I'm not !

You can find Cadbury Highlights in a 220g jar with an RRP of £3.89, or in convenient single serve sachets with an RRP of £0.32.

star rating : 4/5

Disclosure : We received the product (and a very cool mug) in order to write an honest review.
