Madhouse recipe : Chocolate & Pear Tarts

Having come back from the farmers' market with a huge box of pears that needed using up fairly quickly, I decided to use some up in a dessert. This was incredibly quick and simple but also very tasty. The best thing is, it only needs three ingredients !

Chocolate & Pear Tarts

ingredients :

1 sheet of puff pastry
some chocolate spread/Nutella
3 pears, peeled, cored and halved

Cut the puff pastry sheet into the required number of portions.

Peel and halve the pears.

Spread the pastry with chocolate spread. I was using up a posh spread from a Christmas hamper but good old Nutella would do just fine ! Lay one pear on each portion.

Fold the edges of the pastry very roughly up around the pears.

Bake in the oven at 180° for 20 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and the pears are soft when you stab them with a knife. Eat hot or cold, with a scoop of ice cream on the side if you want an extra special dessert.
