Cadbury Dairy Milk Big Taste Bars review

Cadbury Dairy Milk have released a new product range and they're as big in taste as they are in size, coming in whopping 300g bars that are big enough to share with the whole family (or alternatively last you a couple of weeks if you're greedy and keep it hidden in a secret place only you know about !). They are available in three indulgent flavours - Oreo Crunch and Toffee Whole Nut (which we were delighted to receive to review) and Triple Choc Sensation.

Toffee Whole Nut is a totally luscious and moreish combination of toffee creme, whole hazelnuts and caramel. In terms of taste, it reminded me very much of the purple-wrapped Hazel in Caramel sweets that you get in Roses and they always remind me of Christmas so the bar seemed extra indulgent and special. I wasn't sure if the Madhouse kids would approve because they're not huge fans of nuts but they made lots of appreciative murmurs and asked for more - rats !

Oreo Crunch contains a classic and equally tasty double layer of Oreo biscuits and vanilla creme, which have a satisfying contrasting crunchy and smooth texture.

The only bad thing is they're big on calories too - 184 calories and 12g of fat of which 6g saturates for 4 chunks (33g) of the Toffee Whole Nut and 185 calories and 11g of fat of which 6.4g saturates for 1 row (33g) of the Oreo Crunch. As long as you limit yourselves to those serving sizes and don't polish off the whole bar, they're a lovely treat though.

The chocolate bars aren't the only thing to have been given an XXL-upgrade. To mark the launch of the new range, Cadbury sent a souped-up Monster Truck Taxi (the UK's first) out on to the nation's streets to give lucky passengers the ride of their lives !

star rating : 4.5/5

RRP : £3.49 for 300g

Disclosure : We received the products in order to write an honest review.
